Blackberry Storm 3

There's a storm brewing! The BlackBerry Storm 3 is a new Smartphone from RIM that's probably going to be released and available in and around September 2011 time. It's an update from the original BlackBerry Storm 2 9520 that we have here we some great deals available for it on contract, PAYG and SIM Free. Recently there's been some released "leaked pics" of this BlackBerry Smartphone. Storm 2 VS Storm 3 Spec Comparison

Let's run over some of the basic specs of both smartphones. The Storm 2 9520 has a 3.2? touchscreen display but the BlackBerry Storm 3 will have a bigger 3.7" touchscreen display and apparantly feature a new type of capactive touchscreen technology we've not seen in previous BlackBerrys. The camera has been ramped up a bit from 3.2 Megapixels on the Storm 2 9520 to a 5MP camera on the Storm 3.

Also running on the new BlackBerry OS 6.1 it's also expected to have a bit more CPU and RAM power as well. In fact a 1.2 GHz processor and 512MB RAM and 512MB eMMC as compared to an 800MHZ processor and just 256 MB Flash Memory on the Storm 2 9520.

Another new element is the connection speed it can have. It will be Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE- Tri-band UMTS/HSPA enabled. Used GPRS Class 32 / A-GPS / USB. And contain a 2.4GHz b/g/n and 5GHz a/n Wi-Fi + UMA Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR adapter. Previously we've never seen all this in one single Smartphone.

The Storm 2 9520 was supposed to be the Smartphone that blew Apple and their iPhone 4 out of the water. However that didn't happen quite as planned so it's probably why RIM have created and are working on releasing this next new breed of BlackBerry Storm 3 Smartphone that seems to have been put through the Pack-a-Punch machine.
